Seek God's Hazon Vision (Prophetic Vision) for every area of my life
Listening to God's word more and more will cause me to grow in grace and in the knowledge of My Lord Jesus Christ
The Lord is restoring lost visions, visions that I used to have in the past. These visions are not like company vision or mission statements, but they are prophetic visions from God
This year, God is restoring and filling His Church with His Hazon Vision
There was a time, word of Lord is rare and there is no frequent vision
1 Samuel 3:1 KJV
And the child Samuel ministered unto the Lord before Eli. And the word of the Lord was precious in those days; there was no open vision.
Eli => My God
Old covenant => God represented as distant God
New covenant => God wants me to know Him as Father
At the cross, Jesus called God, "My God", so that today I can called God "My Abba, Father"
Galatians 4:6
And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father!”
Samuel => one of the new covenant ministers
1 Samuel 3:1 ESV
Now the boy Samuel was ministering to the LORD in the presence of Eli. And the word of the LORD was rare in those days; there was no frequent vision
"And the word of the LORD was rare in those days; there was no frequent vision", why?
This happens when people are not right with God and they are under the curse
As believers in Christ today, I am not in this position because of Jesus' finished work
I am able to hear the Lord all the time because the Holy Spirit lives in me
The new covenant life is a life of walking and flowing in the Spirit who lives in me
Galatians 5:16
"I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh."
Don't let the fear of false visions stop me from asking God for His Hazon Vision
I am called to be like Jesus, who was led by God-given visions
One of the practical ways, I am to walk in the Spirit is to receive visions from God and follow them
During His time on earth, Jesus was fully man but He always functioned with the anointing of the Holy Spirit
Acts 10:38
how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.
one of the ways I can see this is that He moved according to the visions that God gave Him
I see this in Jesus' encounter with the lame man at the pool of Bethesda:
John 5:3
In these lay a great multitude of sick people, blind, lame, paralyzed, waiting for the moving of the water.
It was know that the 1st person to enter the water would be healed. This is a picture of how only those with strength can receive their healing. The pool of Bethesda, old covenant => you need to qualify yourself to receive blessing of God. N ew covenant => the place Jesus came to, to save those who could not save themselves
John 5:19-20
19 Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner.
20 For the Father loves the Son, and shows Him all things that He Himself does; and He will show Him greater works than these, that you may marvel.
"the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do" => Jesus did what He saw the Father do. Even Jesus who was fully God, could do nothing of Himself
"The father... shows Him all things" => God showed Jesus through a vision of the one He was touching/ healing
Healing is for everyone but in certain particular situations, God has His reasons for touching certain people only. God knows who is ready for miracle. It's not for me to always understand why. My part is to simply follow the visions God is giving me about who He is ministering to so that I can be a channel of His power to that person(s)
"He will show Him greater works than this, that you may marvel" => This coming year, God is going to show me greater things that I might marvel. The visions He has placed in my heart are coming to pass this year!
2 Corinthians 12:9 NIV
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.
This year God will show me greater things that I might marvel at His grace and goodness
God's hazon vision will manifest in my life in His perfect timing
Acts 2:17
‘And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God,
That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh;
Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
Your young men shall see visions,
Your old men shall dream dreams.
Holy Spirit is the language of visions and dreams
Both involve faith pictures and prophetic visions from God, and they transcend time and space
Habakkuk 2:3
For the vision is yet for an appointed time;
But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie.
Though it tarries, wait for it;
Because it will surely come,
It will not tarry.
The manifestation of some of these visions may tarry but it will come to pass at the right time at God's appointed time
God makes all things beautiful foe=r me in His perfect time
Ecclesiastes 3:11
He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.
I can ask God for His hazon vision daily
Notice in Acts 2, when Spirit was poured out on the people, they received dreams and visions
This is the language of the Holy Spirit
It is not just praying in tongues but it is also the language of visions and dreams
The Holy Spirit speaks to me in visions and dreams
The moment I am filled with the Holy Spirit, God starts to speak to me in visions and dreams
A hazon vision is a positive picture only
I am not choosing to focus on negative and instead I choose to focus on the best God has for me
I continue to believe the best for my future
It is important that I ask God for His hazon vision
Hazon Vision => Miracles
It is by the word of the Lord and by the vision of God that miracles manifest
Daily Prayers:
Ephesians 16-20
16 do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers:
17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him,
18 the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,
19 and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power
20 which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places,
The Holy Spirit is one divine being but He can manifest in different ways
Revelation 1:4
John, to the seven churches which are in Asia:
Grace to you and peace from Him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven Spirits who are before His throne,
I see Him manifest in these 7 different ways (Book of Isaiah)
Isaiah 11:1-2
1 There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse,
And a Branch shall grow out of his roots.
2 The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him,
The Spirit of wisdom and understanding,
The Spirit of counsel and might,
The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord.
A prophesy of the Messiah, Jesus Christ
7 different manifestations of His Spirit listed here can be seen in the form of the Menorah:
The Spirit of the Lord => the centre candle shaft, lights up all the other gifts of the Spirit, pray Ephesians 1:16-19 over myself and my loved ones everyday => that God will give me this Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Christ. It is 1st hand, personal knowledge and revelation of the Lord and His goodness
The greater knowledge I have is to know the Lord!
God's hazon vision will show me my God => given purpose and reveal His glory and power
How are the eyes of my understanding enlightenment?
understanding => greek word "dianoa" means imagination, in ESV is "the eyes of your hearts enlightened"
Bible's definition "understanding" => based on imagination
Luke 1:51b
"He has scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts."
imagination is a gift from God, it is a gift He wants to restore to me this year
Before God does something good in my life, He first gives me a vision
In Old Testament, a prophet is often also called a seer
1 Samuel 9:9
"...“Come, let us go to the seer”..."
ie: someone who sees
When I see what God wants me to see, I will see the fulfilment that God wants to bring about
Daily Prayers
Ephesians 1:18-20
18 the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,
19 and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power
20 which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places,
This prayer for the Spirit of wisdom and revelation will cause me to experience 3 specific blessings in my life:
1) the hope of His calling => The Lord has a high calling for me. when the Spirit of wisdom and revelation comes on me, I will know the hope of His calling, which will cause me to see how I can flow with God in everything I set my hands to do
2) The riches of the glory of His inheritance in the Saints => God's inheritance is found in the Saints - me!
3) The exceeding greatness of His power towards us who believe => The same power that raised Jesus from the dead is the same power that lives in me today. Expect to see God's exceeding power at work in my life this year!
When God gives me hazon vision, He also supplies me with the wisdom and ability to walk it out
Pray for the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in Christ daily
I will experience success because the Lord will cause me to see the how-tos that others may not be able to see
God can teach me how to best apply them by filling me with the Spirit of wisdom
them => technical knowledge and skills that I acquire
What God did for the craftsman Bezalel, who built the furniture in the tabernacle
Exodus 31:1-5
1 Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
2 “See, I have called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah.
3 And I have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all manner ofworkmanship,
4 to design artistic works, to work in gold, in silver, in bronze,
5 in cutting jewels for setting, in carving wood, and to work in all manner of workmanship.
This Spirit of wisdom is beneficial in every area of my life - relationships, work and parenting
ie: in need, ask God for this Spirit of wisdom and understanding
He can and wants to show me how to do things most effectively
Position myself to receive God's hazon vision by seeking Him and writing down what He shows me
Find time to be with the Lord and develop a practise of writing down what God is showing me and speaking to me about
Pastor Prince is inspired from Habakkuk 2:1
I will stand my watch And set myself on the rampart,
And watch to see what He will say to me, And what I will answer when I am corrected.
"stand my watch and set myself on the rampart" => it is important that I position myself for God to speak to me
No tv shows. Find time to draw away from TV shows and be with the Lord uninterrupted, allow Him to show me His visions
"watch to see what He will say to me" => "watch" not to hear or to read. If I am watching to see, it means that God's word comes to me in a vision
The key to receiving hazon visions is to ask God for them
Peter and Cornelius they received vision from God while they were praying
Acts 11:5 ESV
“I was in the city of Joppa praying, and in a trance I saw a vision, something like a great sheet descending, being let down from heaven by its four corners, and it came down to me.
Acts 11:30 ESV
"...I was praying in my house at the ninth hour, and behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing:"
This also what happen to Saul before he became Apostle Paul:
Acts 9:10-12
10 Now there was a certain disciple at Damascus named Ananias; and to him the Lord said in a vision, “Ananias.”
And he said, “Here I am, Lord.”
11 So the Lord said to him, “Arise and go to the street called Straight, and inquire at the house of Judas for one called Saulof Tarsus, for behold, he is praying.
12 And in a vision he has seen a man named Ananias coming in and putting his hand on him, so that he might receive his sight.”
"Ananias" => in Hebrew "the grace of God"
"Behind, he is praying, and in a vision he has seen...." => physically his eyes were blinded but spiritually the eyes of his heart saw
What Saul see with the eyes of his heart?
"Ananias" => the grace of God
God's hazon vision is not about seeing physically but seeing spiritually, and what I see spiritually will come to pass physically
Habakkuk 2:2
Then the Lord answered me and said:
“Write the vision (hazon)
And make it plain on tablets,
That he may run who reads it.
Write the vision and make it plain on tablets => As I seek the Lord, have a physical or digital notebook ready
God can give me a picture, a verse, or a statement
Be ready to write it down or draw it out
There is a great encouragement to be found when I revisit these visions and words from the Lord
Write these things down because they are very precious because they are precious, satan try to steal them
Mark 4:15
....Satan comes immediately and takes away the word that was sown in their hearts.
Many times, I forget the very words or revelations that God gave me to encourage me, so write it all down
"that he may run who reads it" => when I write the vision down, I will be able to run with it
Write it down, read again, it will be clear to me once more and I will run with it
Habakkuk 2:2 is actually God's answer to Habakkuk after his complaints in chapter 1:
1 he burden which the prophet Habakkuk saw.
2 O Lord, how long shall I cry,
And You will not hear?
Even cry out to You, “Violence!”
And You will not save.
3 Why do You show me iniquity,
And cause me to see trouble?
For plundering and violence are before me;
There is strife, and contention arises.
4 Therefore the law is powerless,
And justice never goes forth.
For the wicked surround the righteous;
Therefore perverse judgment proceeds.
"the law is powerless,And justice never goes forth" => Habakkuk's complaint is what I am hearing in the world today
Even for the world, the answer lies in God's vision. I t is lack of God's vision that results in these problems that I am seeing today
In the weeks to come, I will be talking about how God's provision is found in the vision that He gives me
God's provision is found in His hazon vision
When I live in the realm of hazon vision. I am living outside the realm of natural time and space. I will be able to enjoy what I see the Lord is showing me for the future. I will be able to enjoy it even now because I am seeing it happen already
Genesis 13:15
or all the land which you see I give to you and your descendants forever.
Just like God showed Abraham the blessings that he would possess before he even took a step into it, God is also showing me visions of His blessings in store for me this year
Genesis 13:15 in the interlinear, I see "aleph-Tav" => "Jesus' signature
Here, God is saying that before I inherit the promise physically, I need to see Jesus
To see Jesus is to see life
See my disease or ailment upon Jesus on the cross
The moment I see that sickness in His body, it starts to die in mine. Like the fig tree that Jesus cursed
Mark 11:20-21
20 Now in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.
21 And Peter, remembering, said to Him, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree which You cursed has withered away.”
The roots died first and it was only a day later that Jesus' disciples saw the manifestation of the curse
If I am experiencing sickness or a condition in my body, God is giving me hazon vision of the cross, say:
"Lord Jesus, I thank You. I see my sickness/ condition upon Your body on the cross"
Thank you Jesus!
